Abstract
The article deals with various aspects of the relationship between the state, church and person; and the implementation of the principle of these relationships, using the example of the analysis of Russian philosophical thought of the XIX – early XX centuries. Differences in understanding the problem of the relationship between the church, state and personality in the Russian and Western philosophical tradition are revealed. The debate between religious and revolutionary thinkers on the role of Christianity and the church in the implementation of a just world order and in the liberation of the individual is considered
