Abstract
This article discusses the issues of increasing the participation and political activity of women in public administration in Uzbekistan. The participation of women in elections and their appointment to leadership positions were analyzed on the basis of statistical data. In addition, the article analyzed contemporary researches dedicated to gender equality, and the existing problems have been critically studied and conclusions have been drawn
