Formation of management empathy as a key professionally important quality of heads of general secondary education institutions

Abstract
The article problematizes the vision of empathy in the context of management. The contradictions between the new requirements of society and the state of modern secondary education, its content, technological and organizational structure are identified. Emphasis is placed on the need to update the requirements for professionally important qualities of heads of general secondary education institutions. It is noted that one of the main professionally important qualities of the head of general secondary education should be managerial empathy, which provides constructive professional interaction and includes a high level of understanding, sensitivity, attention to the inner world of others, compassion, empathy. The levels of formation of managerial empathy in the heads of general secondary education institutions are determined and characterized: high, medium, low. The results of an empirical study of the peculiarities of the formation of managerial empathy of the heads of general secondary education institutions are presented. Insufficient level of formation of managerial empathy in the studied heads of general secondary education institutions has been established. Peculiarities of the formation of managerial empathy in the studied depending on organizational and psychological factors at the macro and micro levels are revealed. The expediency of promoting the development of managerial empathy of the heads of general secondary education institutions in the process of professional training (higher education) and in the conditions of postgraduate education (advanced qualifications) is stated. Emphasis is placed on the need to optimize the work of the school psychological service and organizational psychologists to ensure the development of this quality at the level of educational organization, groups, individuals. Several of the most effective methods aimed at developing managerial empathy of heads of general secondary education institutions are described.
