Abstract
In India, Supply Chain Management (SCM) has gained significant importance due to opening up of domestic econ- omy as a result of globalization. However, a review of literature revealed that not many papers are available which attempt to document and understand the importance of SCM within the Indian business context. The main purpose of this paper is to document the research on development of a conceptual framework for the supply chain. The aims of the research were to develop an integrated framework, and to provide a methodology for planning of many components in the supply chain such as supplier's issues, prospects and how it transforms from ancients to current digitalization.
