LOCAL WISDOM OF BUGINESE ARISTOCRAT TRADITIONAL HOUSE SPATIAL CONCEPT IN BONE SOUTH SULAWESI

Phenomena of extinct Buginese aristocratic traditional houses in Bone by modernization and globalization have given impact on the lost of one of the Buginese tribe cultural local wisdom in Indonesia. This research aims to disclose local wisdom of Bone Buginese aristocrats in their traditional house spatial concept. This research used qualitative method by phenomenology approach, which was conducted through field observation and in-depth review by means of interviews using diachronic reading technique. Secondary data was obtained through journal exploration, research reports, and relevant literature sources. The analysis used interactive approach including data reduction, data display and interpretation, and conclusion drawing through verification and validation using triangulation. The result concludes that Buginese aristocratic traditional house spatial concept in Bone has high religious appreciation values to the God as the creator of the universe and respect to fellow creatures of the God as an identity symbol of aristocratic roles in leading and maintaining social integrity of the community.
