Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to know the benefits of using Open Source software koha is a full featured Integrated Library System (ILS). there is no cost for the license, you have the freedom to modify the product to adapt it to your needs, etc. Koha manages complex classifications, More than 300 libraries are using Koha, including academic, public, school and special libraries, in Africa, Australia, Canada, USA, France, India and, of course, New Zealand. Open source software much potential for libraries and it also incorporates an interface that make it easy for people to create their in library collection.
