USING THE STRATEGIC FORESIGHT METHODOLOGY TO BUILD THE SECURITY WELLNESS: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY IN THE POLICE DIRECTORATE OF DHIQAR

The purpose of this research is to seek to identify the role of strategic foresight based security wellness and to propose new mechanisms aimed at building this wellness for the Dhi Qar Police Directorate, heading for paths to achieve strategic foresight at all levels. The research includes qualitative analysis of the Dhi Qar Police Directorate's data in the Nasiriyah governorate under study. The research sample included (105) officers in this Directorate. The analysis is based on a solid base that sought to reveal this Directorate's practices in investing strategic foresight. The research sought to test several hypotheses related to the influence relationships between the research variables represented by strategic foresight and security wellness. The data were processed through statistical methods using the program (SPSS). It shows the results of the statistical analysis of the data collected through the questionnaire tool prepared for this purpose, in addition to the theoretical conclusions, including the ability of the Directorate to build security wellness through strategic insight into the activities of the Directorate that are performed through synergies of the officers' efforts to achieve them. This research contributes as an attempt to contribute to uncovering the role of strategic foresight as a modern, forward-looking method for the Dhi Qar Police Directorate to build security wellness.
