In this article we investigate peculiarities of perception and comprehension of concepts by representatives of different sociolects in the communication process. Concepts are formedin communication in the process of socialization and forming life experience, and they possess the dual nature: they are at the same time individual as well as collective. In the English speaking culture, as in any other, there are special concepts, which have different plane of content and expression in social usages. This results in the problem of mutual understanding between the owners of gender, age and professional sociolects. In this article it is investigated the peculiarities of perception and understanding concepts by the speakers of different sociolects during communication. The main purpose of our research is to identify the differences in forming linguo cultural concepts by the representatives of different socio groups, which evoke the differences in perception and understanding between them. The problems of understanding, according to our opinion, are in the mental reason of basic socio-cultural concepts, in their different content, that results arising serious socio-political conflicts. In our research we have studied three social groups (the Christian community, a group of sexual minority and middle-aged group of different sexes) and defined cognitive-psychological peculiarities of each of them according to those language means that they use in their discourses. The analyses of the content of linguo-cultural concepts in sociolects can help to solve the problem of understanding of the cognitive sphere of the representatives from different social groups, which can, at its turn, could help to avoid some conflict situations in the process of communication
