Abstract
During the past decade considerable scholarship has been developed regarding the concept of “linguоcultural type” which is understood as a generalized recognizable representative of society, whose behavior reflects his attitudes and values of a particular group of people or society. The article deals with the linguо- cultural type “private detective” on the base of the fiction character Miss Marple by English author Agatha Christie. Having the stereotyped features generally she possesses individual characteristics maintained latently her professional activity of amateur – detective. As a result we conclude that feminine linguоcultural type “private detective” reflects the role of Victorian women and the negative attitude towards the gender equality in professional field
