Abstract
In this article is written about the expressiveness of scientific discourse is related to the use of phraseological units in certain cases, especially their peculiarities of oral speech. The activation of phraseology in this group in the scientific text is manifested in the movement of retreat from context and style requirements. Phraseologically neutral phraseological units are structures based on metaphorical expressions, which have gone through the stages of stagnation and standardization, so it is difficult to replace one part of them with another.
The analysis shows that the use of phraseology in scientific discourse depends more on the evaluation and description of the results obtained than on the topic of scientific work or debate, the description and proof of the theory under discussion, and the substantiation of scientific hypotheses and ideas. All this creates the conditions for the effective conduct of scientific communication.
