Abstract

The study was done to find the role of work environment and occupational stress in job burnout among army officers. The main objective of this study is to find the role of work environment and occupational stress in job burnout among army officers. Three scales were used, Weimen occupational stress scale (WOSS), Burnout questioner and Work stressor questioner. The population of this study was the Army officers of Multan. The researcher selected the sample from Multan cant consisting of 100 Army officers (N=30 female officers, N=70 male officers). In this research study quantitative method was used and data was collected through Questioners. Results indicated that working environment and occupational stress are significantly correlated. Result's showed that working environment significantly effects on job burnout. Outcome of the results showed that male officers have less occupational stress than female officers. There is high level of job burnout among female officers than male officers. Results also indicated a positive effect of occupational stress on job burnout.
