Abstract
The new education policy reforms in the academic year 2020 has faced many challenges due to the pandemic. The education ministry has introduced many reforms with the vision of reshaping the education system. The Education ministry has long term perspective till the year 2040. There are multiple changes in the education policy like renaming of MHRD to Ministry of Education. Academicians has analyzed the gap and challenges of online teaching – learning outcomes. This research paper focuses on the reforms and impact of online teaching mode. There are many innovation and according to the report released by KPMG India, the market for online education in India is expected to witness a spectacular growth of eight times in three years, i.e., from USD 247 million in 2016 to USD 1.96 billion in 2021. Such high growth in online education market is projected to be the outcome of increased number of paid online education users from 1.57 million in 2016 to 9.5 million in 2021
