Abstract

The future would see more women venturing into areas traditionally dominated by men. This will lead to income generation and greater sense of fulfillment among women. In almost all the countries, governments are providing special provisions for women's development and efforts are being made to extract maximum of their talent. Women are under-represented in the BPO sector. To address the gender issues at work place of BPOs organizations, there is need to monitor and conduct continuous studies. The descriptive research design has been employed for the present study. Among the different sectors in Chennai, the BPO sector has been purposively selected for the present study. The city of Chennai has been selected to conduct study on BPO companies and the women employees have been selected randomly thus, simple random sampling technique has been adopted for data collection. The data and information is collected from women employees through pre-tested, structured interview schedule by direct interview method. 500 women employees are selected for the present study in the period of 2016-17. In order to understand the organizational factor affecting gender issues of women employees BPO sector, the factor analysis are worked out. This factor is named as culture, women centric, team work, diversity, group, flexibility, perception, network, adoptability, behavior, and career
