Abstract
Necessary defense, as well as the problems arising in the scientific doctrine and law enforcement practice regarding the legal regulation of necessary defense. A conclusion is made regarding the need to revise the criteria for the proportionality and timeliness of necessary defense, as well as the need to equate necessary and imaginary defense.
