Abstract
This study focuses on social media and its influence on politics considering behavioural tendency towards online e-participation for voting in elections. “Electronic Participation” i.e. E-Participation extended with E-Voting using social media mobilizes citizen to cast vote remotely without any fear of opponent worker influence etc. Pakistan is a country with rich and diverse demographical characteristics. Most of the political parties use social media as a venue to promote election campaigns while approaching every registered individual voter of the country's population. Usually, the rise in usage of social media platform reaches a maximum peak rapidly after the release of the election schedule. The analytical and hypothetical study focusing on the intention for voting is conducted considering the factors of religiosity, ethnicity, and use of social media to influence election results.
