Abstract

Partial shading (PS) of photovoltaic (PV) cell installations has an asymmetric effect on electricity-producing. This work investigated the influence of PS on photoelectric rendering. The output power generated by PV panels will be greatly reduced, and the performance of the entire system will be further reduced due to the effects of partial shadows. Some researchers have introduced various matrix shaping and reconfiguration techniques to reduce the effects of partial shadows in the PV array. Since each algorithm has its advantages and disadvantages, it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study of the literature when planning photovoltaic power plants below ordinary PS conditions. In this paper, a thorough review of shading mitigation is performed using distinct circuit-based topologies. This comprehensive review evaluates all technologies based on parameters such as converters used; difficulty, efficiency, and number of collectors under partial shadow conditions will surely provide a way to advance its research in the field of solar photovoltaic application's unique platform.
