Abstract
The article conducts a comparative analysis of the main theories studying the migration process from an economic point of view and the determinants on which these theories are based. According to the neoclassical theory of migration, the main determinants are the number of migrants, the requirements of the legislation on the minimum wage, as well as the requirements of the legislation on labor migration in the country. The new economic theory of labor migration takes the difference between wage levels as a determinant.
