The Premises of the Establishment and Functioning of Munkács Hungarian Royal State Primary Public Teacher-Training Institution (1914–1918)

Abstract
Transformations in the sphere of education bring about changes in the system of training pedagogical staff who would be able to face challenges adequately, especially those that are predetermined by intensification of globalization processes, swift development of information society, thus rethinking the meaning of education in a civilization aspect. The expediency of this research is determined by discrepancy at the level of staff professionalization, viz.: between the ever-growing requirements to the professional level of a modern teacher and the incomplete realization of the principle of integration of educational novelty and historical-pedagogical achievements in his training; between the need in context-competence training of a primary school teacher and the necessity to take into account its national and regional component. Therefore, it is highly topical to study the historical aspect of teacher-training in Transcarpathia as one of the multiethnic regions of Ukraine. The article is devoted to the study of the conditions that preceded the establishment and functioning of Munkács teacher-training institution (1914–1918). The aim of the article is to determine the organizational and pedagogical conditions that preceded the establishment and development of the institution for professional pedagogical education to train primary school teachers in Munkács (1914–1918). Munkács Hungarian Royal State Primary Public Teacher-Training Institution played a significant role in the establishment of professional pedagogical education in Transcarpathia. The retrospective analysis of its establishment and development enabled us to determine the factors accompanying, fostering, and strengthening changes, as well as dynamics in the forward movement of professional pedagogical education of the region. The factors include: settling the issue of training qualified specialists for primary schools; famous figures who formed the region's history, consolidated advanced at that time, European-level views on the development of pedagogical ideas in the region. We see the future prospect of further researches in the study of peculiarities of the educational process in Transcarpathian teacher-training seminaries in different periods, the contribution of eminent representatives of the region to provide adequate quality training of specialists; the latter being highly topical for the professional pedagogical education of Ukraine.
