Preparing the future primary school teacher for teaching the Ukrainian language: Theoretical foundations

Abstract
The article reveals the modern approaches to the training of future primary school teachers to the teaching of the Ukrainian language. The topicality of the study is due to the reforms that take place in primary education. They change the content, teaching methods and forms. Education in primary school is aimed at the formation of competencies, the leading of which is the knowledge of the state language. Knowledge of the Ukrainian language allows the individual to receive a step-quality education; to carry out future professional activities at any level; to socialize in society, to feel him or herself as a part of Ukrainian community; to take part in the social and political activities of the country. The purpose of the research was to study the theoretical foundations of training future primary school teachers for the Ukrainian language teaching in the context of modern educational reforms. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, conversation with primary school teachers, interviewing. Task: to analyze some legislative, scientific and methodological materials about the primary school reformation; to determine the priority areas of research about the preparation of future teachers to teaching the Ukrainian language. Analyzed the separate legislative acts, scientific researches on the designated problem. Considerable attention is focused on the Law of Ukraine "About education"(article 7), the Concept of a New Ukrainian school. Methods, forms of training in new Ukrainian school are found out. The author of the article points out the importance of these methods in order to integrate methodological science into the European one. At the same time, the importance of the selection of teaching methods on the national basis was noted. Were proposed educational games that shape the national-linguistic identity. It is emphasized that the native word is a means of education.
