Influence of political education on the formation of professional competence and political outlook of the future specialist

The article investigates the place of political science in the system of humanitarian knowledge as an integrative comprehensive science of politics in all its manifestations. The science of politics is seen as a holistic, internally differentiated, interdisciplinary science consisting of a number of branches of political knowledge that explores the various aspects of politics at different levels of cognition and from different angles: political philosophy, political theory, political sociology, political history, political psychology, political anthropology, the theory of international politics, political geography. Political education promotes rationalization of the political life of the country, orientates people to the conscious use of politics to achieve the possible and warns against illusory aspirations and expectations. Knowledge in political science is required in order to become a conscious, educated citizen and trained specialist who consciously performs duties and does not turn into a toy in the hands of unscrupulous political players. This is especially true for the part of young citizens who acquire higher education and will eventually overtake leadership positions in society The source base over the last years of national and foreign scholars on the role of political education and political culture in the system of state educational policy of the present has been analyzed.
