Abstract
The problem of art-therapeutic competence as a necessary component of the professional activity of a musical art teacher has been highlighted. The essence of art-therapeutic potential of art in self-expression and creative personality development has been found out, the sense of the art-therapeutic method as a means of psychological and pedagogical assistance to pupils in identifying a personal-value relation to the world has been revealed. The necessity of art-therapeutic competence of the musical art teacher in the world of requirements of the New Ukrainian School and solution of the tasks in art educational area have been pointed out. On the basis of scientific works the following components of the musical art teacher have been generalized and characterized: information, communicative, productive psychological, subject matter, personal qualities and art-therapeutic. The requirements for the musical art teacher in the context of the problem under the study that provide expansion of the spectrum of the teacher's pedagogical activity have been substantiated. In particular, it is about the way the musical art teacher masters necessary psychological and pedagogical knowledge, methods of using art therapy in educational process, implementation in professional activity of art-therapeutic technologies. The final conclusion is that the art-therapeutic competence of the art musical teacher will provide the success of solving the key tasks in educational process, the effectiveness of self-expression and creative personality development, activate subjective interaction with the aim of providing psychological and pedagogical assistance to pupils in the formation of their subjectity.
