Teacher's reflection in the process of solving educational tasks

Abstract

Pedagogical process – is the process of solving a number of tasks by a teacher. Pedagogical objectives have the following subjects: situation, designing, implementation, summary. The reflection of the teacher, in this process, becomes of special significance. The algorithm of pedagogical actions has been analyzed, students errors in solving educational tasks has been systematized, as well as teacher errors leading to student mistakes have been classified in this research. Deliberate formation of reflexive ability to solve tasks is the main factor in primary professionalisation of a teacher. The topicality of the study is preconditioned by the necessity to find the ways of improvement the teachers' training process. Pedagogical process - is the process of solving an infinite number of tasks by the teacher. Pedagogical objectives the teacher has to solve include the following subjects: situation, designing, implementation, summary. Of special significance is the teacher's reflection during the comprehension, resolution and evaluation of the solved problem. Reflexive processes are directly related to different subjects, involved in the teaching process, the collaboration of the teacher and student with educational material. The following subjects of reflection in the study have been viewed: the system of knowledge about the pedagogical profession, represented by the categorical composition of practical thinking; the system of strategic thinking abilities that are actualized in the process of developing and adopting a pedagogical decision; system of basic and intermediate decisions, regulating the process of teacher's thinking activity. The algorithm of pedagogical actions has been analyzed, students errors in solving educational tasks has been systematized, as well as teacher errors leading to student mistakes have been classified in this research. It has been proved that among the various skills necessary for the successful solving of the learning tasks, it is necessary to differentiate: the analysis of the situation, the establishment of significant and non-significant features of the observed facts and consequences of the impacts on the student. During the conducted business games with teachers, the algorithm of pedagogical actions for solving the tasks has been revealed, evolving in the actions of the teacher at different stages of educational task solution. Among the various skills necessary for the successful educational task solution, the following have been distinguished: the analysis of the situation, the establishment of significant and non-significant features of the observed facts and consequences of the impacts on the student. A study has been conducted during which teachers identified (and ranked) the ability to solve educational tasks: sensoric, perceptual and mental. The analysis of the results shows that a significant part of teachers do not distinguish the ability to solve educational tasks out of the others, and are not paying special attention to their importance and value. Thus, deliberate formation of the reflexive ability to solve tasks should be one of the key components of the primary professionalisation of the future teacher.
