Ethic culture in professional training of future teachers of primary school

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of ethical culture as a constituent part of professional training of future primary school teacher. Moral awareness of teacher has been characterized as dialectical entity of ethical knowledge, moral feelings, beliefs, will and ideals that define his / her moral relationships, behaviour and professional actions. As it has been emphasized that the moral consciousness is manifested in teacher activities and relationships, including a culture of ethical thinking, culture of emotions, culture of behaviour, etiquette as the level of commitment to the rules governing the form, manner, style and tone of communication. It has also been noted that two groups of factors affect the formation of professional ethics of teachers: social, which are naturally uniting religion, national culture, education, philosophic conceptions; economic, uniting domestic market, employment opportunities. Ethical Culture of a teacher is substructure pedagogical culture, based on professionally significant qualities of the personality, fundamental ethical values and knowledge, a sense of professional honour, duty and responsibility, the ability to follow ethical principles, norms of behaviour, professional samples and patterns of relationships in educational activities etc. The emphasis has been laid on the principles of pedagogical ethics, legitimacy, justice, the dominance of the interests of the student, honesty and integrity, respect for the psycho-physical and spiritual integrity, moral ideals, honour and dignity of the individual student, the promotion of their development during the educational process, mutual respect, trust, goodwill, tact and frankness in the relationships between the teacher and the parents or legal representatives of the student, preservation of pedagogical community honour, respect and goodwill in their attitude to colleagues, manifestation of restraint, sensitivity, kindness, creativity, ability to assimilate best practices and transfer it to others as a basis of professional competence and authority of the teacher. It has been deduced that mastering of the ethical culture principles by students promotes their comprehension of pedagogical culture values, pedagogical ethics, the formation of ethical culture of future teacher is impossible without development of his / her spiritual culture in general, the increase of intellectual potential, the involvement into direct participation in learning, production and distribution of spiritual values.
