Abstract

This paper provides the theoretical foundation the patentsPat(n.d.-a),Pat(n.d.-b) of Nicholas Pittas related to storage and continuous production ofenergy via compressed air. Speciβically, the energy balance between consumedenergy, used for the compression of atmospheric air to high pressure and heatproduction within a speciβic number of stages, and the energy produced duringthe expansion of compressed air to atmospheric pressure. The heat producedis transported, via a thermal vector, to the expansion process to prevent iceformation in the expander.
