Abstract
Pop psychology is one of the controversial fields in psychology, which has, quickly, spread around the world due translation. Despite the broad generalizations in pop psychology, it contains some pure psychological terms that we try, through this research, to explain their meanings in pop psychological context as well as their methods of translation into Arabic. Our research contains two sides: theoretical and practical. In the former, we present definition(s) of pop psychology, its text's and psychological terminology. In the latter, we try to discuss the corpus and analyze its samples that give answer to our problematic. We conclude that the translator deals with terms as words that are part of the standard language and translates them according to his personal style, which leads him to face the problem of terminology chaos. The translator treats the text as a literary genre rather than a scientific one.
