Abstract
Our energy consumption is increasing continuously over the years as the population rises. In the future, the global supply of fossil fuels will be depleted. Inflation and energy shortages are the outcome of growing demand outstripping declining supply. This situation is referred to as an energy crisis. Other energy sources must be discovered for the economy to continue to flourish. Due to the high concentration of free fatty acids in the oil, two-stage esterification and transesterification techniques were utilised to make the Kusum oil. According to the results, Kusum oil has tremendous potential as a feedstock for biodiesel production. Numerous physical and chemical properties of Kusum oil were investigated to determine its potential as a biodiesel fuel, including the fatty acid methyl ester. Kusum oil is quite viscous. It must reduce by the process of transesterification.
