Abstract
The review suggests the procedure of effective management of places for temporary residence of internally displaced persons (IDP), which was developed based on analysis of international experience, contained in available publications, guidelines, manuals and regulations and practical experience of members of public organization «[KL] Survival» (public organization on safety and adaptation to extremal conditions) obtained in cooperation with the leadership of camps for internally displaced persons in the west of Ukraine (Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv oblast). The review conducts analysis of global situation with forced internal displacement, specific features of internally displaced persons, effect of internal displacement on the economy and stability in a country. The main goal of the review is to provide the instrument for prediction and effective addressing of the problems which may arise during arrangement and maintaining of camps for IDP. The review also provides comprehensive guide and references to international rules and practices, and also state regulations which enable successful management of IDP residences.
