Abstract

In the article, the authors addressed a topical issue - the impact of globalization on educational policy. To this end, we analyzed the works of various authors from many countries, including Australia, USA, England, Spain, Holland, Hong Kong, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Poland, Latin America and others. In this context, the concept of "globalization" is considered from the point of view of combining conflicting theories of its use. Different types of impact of globalization on educational policy are shown. The authors also revealed the inevitable change in the role of public education policy and the need to reform it under the influence of globalization. In addition, a description of the specific effects of globalization on state policy in the field of education. Particular attention is paid to the manifestations of privatization and commercialization in education, strengthening the influence on educational policy of international organizations (UN, World Bank, European Union, OECD, etc.), spreading a new way of managing education – NSU, etc. Based on the position that globalization is an inevitable phenomenon and its effects are large-scale, the authors proposed their vision of using these effects to the greatest benefit for the development of public education policy in Ukraine
