Abstract
The task scheduling process plays a crucial role in cloud computing. The users are expected to pay for the resources that are being requested for solving a particular task. Taking the importance of the task scheduling and the pitfalls in the existing methods, the research is presumed to bring out a technical contribution in the task scheduling by making use of the nature inspired algorithms. An Enhanced Round Robin (ERR) method is formulated and tested, to improve the performance, with several parameters. The problem was then analyzed using various Nature Inspired Algorithms like Chaotic Squirrel Search Algorithm (CSSA), Genetic Algorithm-Whale Optimization Algorithm (GA-WOA). The experiment was conducted with the number of jobs to be executed varying from 50 to 200 with the parameters like cost, energy, time, resource utilization and Service Level Agreements (SLA) violations.
