Abstract

With the advancement of technology and the widespread availability of computing devices, digital humanities have become a popular and versatile tool for enhancing learning experiences. Digital humanities refer to the intersection of humanities and technology, where technology is used to analyze, understand, and present humanistic subjects. This research paper examines the advantages of using computing devices to supplement learning, such as providing students with access to vast amounts of information and resources, enabling students to learn at their own pace and in their own space, and offering interactive and immersive learning experiences. The various forms of digital humanities, such as digital archives, textual analysis, data visualization, and augmented reality and virtual reality technologies, are explored, along with their applications in different fields, including history, literature, art, and linguistics. The challenges and limitations of using digital humanities are also discussed, such as limited access to computing devices and the internet, poor quality resources, potential biases in digital humanities tools, and technical issues. Possible solutions to these challenges are suggested, including promoting access to technology and high-quality digital resources, critical engagement with digital humanities tools, and developing contingency plans for technical issues.
