DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF EFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE EXTRACTION SYSTEM

As much as it is the practice of applying data mining algorithms to academic data, Educational Data Mining (EDM) is also the investigation of, and provision of solutions for, a wide range of problems in the administration of educational systems. That may help people like students, teachers, and executives make better decisions and plan for the future. Using data mining methods to uncover hidden, potentially helpful information in the database, we suggest using both a hard and soft clustering approach to investigate the links between student learning behavior and positive and negative results (on tests). To accomplish these goals, we suggest combining three separate models into a single, cohesive framework for making effective recommendations on what students should read for class.
