Abstract
The hotel industry in Northern India comprises of various types of hotels ranging from large hotel chains to small scale hotels and B&Bs (Bed and Breakfast). This study aims to compare the hotel management practices in B&Bs and small-scale hotels in Northern India. The study covered a survey of 200 hotels, including 100 B&Bs and 100 small-scale hotels, to identify the differences in their management practices. The survey results were analyzed using statistical methods such as percentages and mean results. The findings suggest that B&Bs and small-scale hotels differ significantly in their management practices in terms of staff management, marketing strategies and customer service. The study concludes that while B&Bs are known for their personalized services, small-scale hotels tend to be more traditional in their management practices.
