Abstract
Prefiltration, ultrafiltration, and reverse osmosis are the three steps that make up the innovative technique for making process water out of river water. For a long time, the latter method has been the gold standard for producing potable water, boiler feed water, and ultrapure water from previously treated raw water. However, ultrafiltration is a relatively new technology that is just now being used on a large basis in this industry. As an alternative to multi-step procedures including ozonation, precipitation, flocculation, coagulation, chlorination, and gravel filtering, this method is used to clean drinking water, process water, and surface water in a single step. This allowed for the removal of suspended particles and microorganisms from the river water (River Main) for the plant to operate reliably and with high availability. Throughout the testing period, the permeate quality was excellent (0.05 NTU) and satisfied the needs of the RO plant's feed water
