RESEARCH ACTIVITY IN PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE TECHNOLOGY TEACHERS

Abstract
Introduction. The rapid increase in the pace of scientific and technological progress leads to the continuous growth, updating and deepening of information, which, in turn, leads to a decrease in the relevance of the knowledge gained by students in higher education. Therefore, the preparation of a future teacher for the professional activity should focus on ensuring the skills of independent mastery and further educational and semantic interpretation of the features of certain objects and phenomena. Such skills are formed during research activities in the process of professional training of future teachers. Purpose. The article aims to clarify the importance of research activities in the system of professional training of future technology teachers. Methods. Theoretical (analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, and systematization of modern scientific, theoretical and empirical studies of scientific research activity) methods were used. Results. The analysis of the literature has shown that the legislative documents and scholars recognize the special importance of research activities in the process of training competitive specialists. The role of the educational environment of a higher education institution in creating conditions for the comprehensive development of the future teacher's personality is highlighted and its main characteristics that affect the fruitfulness of research activities are singled out. The results of studies of changes in the educational environment of higher education institutions are presented. The ways of increasing the efficiency of research activities of the main strategic development programs of the European Union are characterized. The need to organize the research work of future teachers and create conditions for fruitful cognitive activity is emphasized. Attention is focused on the relationship between the effectiveness of involving students in research work and its content, proposed forms and types. The basic levels of research activity are highlighted. The principles of organizing research activities of future teachers are outlined, taking into account their specificities. Originality. The rationale for the need to improve the level of research activities in higher education institutions of Ukraine for equal integration into the European educational space is expanded. The monitoring of the research component of educational activities of several higher education institutions is analysed. Conclusion. Research is an integral and mandatory component of educational activities, and its effectiveness is one of the criteria for the efficiency and competitiveness of a higher education institution. The teaching staff is required to organize research activities in a coordinated manner, taking into account the principles of the building aimed at solving the challenges of today. On the part of those seeking education, it is necessary to achieve a certain degree of intellectual maturity with formed abstract, theoretical, reflective thinking, a well-developed ability to generalize, and pre-hypothetical and deductive reasoning.
