LOGISTICS AS AN INGREDIENT OF ENSURING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STATE

Effective logistics greatly contributes to the success of business due to fast deliveries with minimal expenditure of time and resources. In other words, logistics is the process of delivering materials, products and services where and when they are needed. Considering the concept of sustainable logistics as an integral element of the sustainable development of the state, it is important to take into account the fact that sustainable logistics is not only about environmental friendliness, but also about the total impact on production processes, starting from the place of receipt of goods, to the use and potential processing of the product or service. The scientific article defines the essence of sustainable development and the need to ensure it in current conditions. The essence of logistics and its role in ensuring economic growth have been established. The existing relationships between logistics and sustainable development are analyzed. The essence of the New focus of logistics — sustainable logistics has been studied. The format of implementing sustainable logistics in practice has been highlighted. The relationship between the components of sustainable development and the components of sustainable logistics is cross-analyzed. The key objective of the operation of sustainable logistics is singled out, namely: prevention of mass disruption of ecosystems, prevention of environmental pollution, and prevention of vibration and noise effects due to the use of outdated technologies. The components of sustainable logistics are illustrated: disposal logistics, reverse logistics, «green» and recycling logistics, down cycling, and the essence of each of them is revealed. The advantages of using «green» logistics are determined. The trends regarding the growth of the practice of conducting environmental protection policy by logistics enterprises are analyzed. The role of railway and sea transport in this process is studied. Trends in the production of ecological transport by popular automobile brands are highlighted. The trends in the spread of the principles of sustainable logistics in Ukraine have been determined, and the reasons that hinder its development have been investigated. The relationship between the war with the Russian Federation and the directions of development of sustainable logistics in our country in the near future has been established.
