Questions organization of independent work of students of humanitarian universities in France (1970 ? 1987)

The subject of research is the development of the theory and practice of independent work of students in the humanities French universities study period. According to this article the aim is selected for analysis of independent work of students in the humanities. Through the use of complex historical and pedagogical search established that the French humanitarian universities given period independent work of students was aimed at strengthening the professionalization and applied orientation of liberal education. The main forms and methods of independent work of students in the humanities have been working with the book, solving exercises and problems, correction of mistakes. The study determined that during this period the effective organization of independent work of students were the subject of active teaching faculty search humanities universities in France.
