Abstract

The article defines the main tasks of inclusive development as a modern platform for the formation of a model of sustainable economic growth; the dependencies between indicators of socio-economic development and quality (comfort) of life for residents of Ukrainian cities were analyzed; the elasticity of the dynamics of the region's development was investigated (on the example of Zaporizhzhia region). The main trends and features of the socio-demographic component of the inclusive development of the region are analyzed (on the example of Zaporizhzhia region). Priority measures to achieve the goals of inclusive development of the region are substantiated. In the conditions of globalization, the relationship between the country's competitiveness and human development takes on special significance, since the country's competitiveness becomes an instrument for increasing the standard of living and social well-being of society. The socio-demographic situation in one or another country characterizes the reproduction of the country's population in spatial and temporal certainty. Ensuring conditions for the development of the population of Ukraine should be considered as one of the highest priority national interests in the foundations of state policy and national security. The socio-demographic basis of the modern Ukrainian nation is being formed under the influence of trends characteristic of a society with a narrow reproduction of the population — a reduction in the number of the working-age population and an increase in the share of older age groups in its structure, which leads to the formation of a number of social risks associated with insufficiently effective functioning of the social protection and health care systems. Assessing the prerequisites and achievements during the transition of Ukraine's economy to inclusive development and developing proposals for the formation of the foundations for a new quality of economic growth becomes especially relevant after the release of the National Report «Sustainable Development Goals: Ukraine», which provides the results of the adaptation of 17 global sustainable development goals (SDGs), most of which are aimed at solving the problems of inclusion, taking into account the specifics of national development. Under these conditions, new requirements for the development of the state policy of economic growth and structural transformations in the form of structural reforms in the economy are being updated. Regional aspects of inclusiveness require special attention, the assessment of which in new dimensions other than GDP [1, р. 2] is a necessary prerequisite for the development of sound strategies and measures.
