Abstract

The article analyzes the essence and trends in the development of the concept of talent management as a basic component of modern human resource management practices at the global level. The rapid growth of human capital value actualizes the role of labor, knowledge and personal potential in the structure of business processes. An employee's personal contribution to the achievement of the company's goals makes the result of work unique and its value higher, which together affects business profits and its sustainability in the face of uncertainty. In view of this, competition in the labor market is actively developing, which implies a struggle between the leaders of the global business space for unique human resources, and the labor market itself is turning into a center of talented, promising, ambitious and highly qualified employees. The trend of searching for and engaging people with a unique set of knowledge and skills has transformed into a whole concept of talent management, which continues to be actively implemented by global market leaders in the practice of human resource management, and is becoming an important element of HR management in companies of highly developed and developing countries; together, these aspects actualize the role of international experience of influence and interaction with human capital as an example for Ukraine and confirm the relevance of the issue for further study. The study of the issue was carried out using the methods of comparison, abstraction, analysis (to determine the essence of the concept of talent management, features and characteristics, to make theoretical generalizations about the role of talent management in the global sense) and generalization (to draw conclusions about the importance of the concept of talent management in the management of human capital by global companies, to outline prospects for Ukraine in view of global experience). In the course of the study, the essence of the talent management concept was defined — the features that distinguish it from other human resource management methods, the principles of implementation, and the trends in the formation and implementation of human capital management in the global market were characterized. The authors characterize the impact of the concept of talent management in international companies on the efficiency of their activities. Given the effectiveness of the concept confirmed by international experience, the author emphasizes the importance of developing its use in the practice of HR management of Ukrainian companies.
