PACULIARITIES OF FORMING THE PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS’ TRANSVERSAL SKILLS IN THE CONDITIONS OF EXTRACURRICULAR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract
Introduction. Modern society poses new challenges to education, one of which is the formation of personalities capable of making extraordinary decisions and effectively establishing relationships in a rapidly changing reality. Activity, independence, creativity, sociability, adequate self-esteem, the ability to adapt to rapid changes are personality traits that are important at the current stage of society's development. At the current stage of extracurricular education institutions in Ukraine, the issue of developing the transversal skills is becoming more and more relevant. Modern out-of-school education is just on the threshold of reforms related to the orientation of education to the development of skills that are in demand on the labor market. The basis of modernization is the innovative transformation of almost all components of the educational system, including continuous education, distance, and mixed learning.Purpose of the paper is to substantiate the peculiarities of forming primary school pupils' transversal skills in the conditions of extracurricular educational institutions.In the article we consider some basic methods of students' transversal skills development in technical clubs of extracurricular education institutions. Based on the tasks of modernization of the Ukrainian education system, special attention in extracurricular educational institutions is paid to the improvement of education methods and forms aimed at self-determination of the individual, creating the conditions for pupils' self-realization, in particular active and interactive methods. The specified teaching methods can be considered the main methods of developing children's transversal skills during club work, because they contribute to the primary school pupils' development, teach them independence in cognition and decision-making. Innovative methods and forms of work help club teachers to form students' character traits, different ways of thinking and social behavior. It is worth noting the following key competencies: lifelong learning; social competences; entrepreneurship and financial literacy; cultural competence; environmental competence; innovativeness.Conclusion. Therefore, the priority tasks of pedagogical staff of extracurricular education institutions are to create conditions for educating the younger generation on the best achievements of national culture and spiritual heritage, the heroic past and present of the Ukrainian people; involvement of primary school pupils in educational and creative work, socially significant affairs, public, charitable activities, participation in social, intellectual, artistic, nature conservation, local history projects; promoting the physical training of school students, establishing a healthy lifestyle.
