FICTION AS THE MEANS OF FORMING SOCIAL AND CIVIC COMPETENCE IN SENIOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Abstract

Introduction. The war in Ukraine and the current socio-economic processes in the country are sharpening society's interest in the problem of socialization of the individual, which is one of the great importance at the stage of preschool childhood. This is due to the fact that, firstly today, enemy propaganda is particularly aimed at children, and therefore has a negative impact on the socialization of children; secondly, already in preschool age, a person is included in various spheres of society, actively enriches his or her relationships with other people, learns elementary concepts, forms skills and abilities of role behavior that imitate social relations. Therefore, one of the important tasks of preschool education institutions and families is to form social and civic competence in preschool children, because the foundations laid in preschool age will be the basis for further development of social and civic competence in children in the New Ukrainian School. The purpose. Implement a theoretical analysis of the main aspects of the problem in forming social and civic competence in senior preschool children in general and in the process of using works of fiction in particular. Methods. To achieve the certain goal, the following theoretical methods and techniques of cognition were used: analysis and generalization of scientific literature, synthesis, systematization and generalization of the information received. Results. Various aspects of social and civic competence formation in preschool children are substantiated in the studies of L. Artemova, T. Ponimanska, A. Bogush, N. Havrysh, O. Reipolska, O. Kosenchuk, S. Kondratiuk, V. Butenko, I. Sokhan, L. Sokhan, H. Belenka, O. Polovinaia, T. Ponomarenko, L. Kozak. The importance of using fiction in the process of forming social and civic competence in senior preschoolers is focused by L. Artemova, N. Havrysh, I. Kondratets, O. Reipolska, A. Proseniuk The analysis of scientific researches show that the problem of forming social and civic competence in preschool children is currently relevant, and its solution is possible with the use of modern effective forms, means, methods of forming social and civic competence in preschool children in general and older ones in particular. The fiction is being distinguished as a means of forming social and civic competence in senior preschoolers. Originality. The analysis of the presented studies made it possible to identify a number of pedagogical conditions that ensure the formation of social and civic competence in senior preschoolers through fiction. Conclusion. The analysis of psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature on the problem of forming social and civic competence in preschool children gives grounds for the conclusion that in the preschool period of childhood the foundation of the worldview is being developed , the basis of personal culture is laid, the image of the world and the value attitude towards oneself, society, the ability to manifest personal qualities, social feelings, love for the Motherland are formed; readiness to participate in social events taking place in children's centers, community, society and aimed at improving the quality of life of children. It has been found that the formation of social and civic competence in senior preschool children takes place in the course of various forms of work using different methods and techniques and during various types of children's activities.
