Abstract
Introduction. In today's world, where digital technologies penetrate all spheres of our lives, education faces new challenges. Changing ideas about learning and requirements for students require a revision of traditional approaches to education. One of these promising areas is the use of programming and robotics in the learning process. The problem is that many students today do not develop enough critical thinking, which is a key skill for success in the modern world. Critical thinking allows you to analyze and evaluate information, draw reasonable conclusions, solve problems, and be creative. This skill is important for both academic and personal development of students.Purposeof this article is to examine the role of programming and robotics in the developmentof students' critical thinking by identifying key aspects that confirm the role of programming and robotics in the development of critical thinking and revealing the positive impact of using programming and robotics on the development of critical thinkingskills, such as analytical thinking, logical thinking, problem thinking, and creative thinking.Methods. The following research methods were used during the research: analysis of educational and methodical, historical literature on the issue of introducing the concept of «innovative competence»in an innovative educational environment; comparison, systematization and generalization of existing ideas for the implementation of the concept of «innovative competence».Results. The article discusses the importance of teaching programming and robotics for the development of critical thinking, as well as in highlighting the prospects of these disciplines in modern education. The article also examines the challenges faced by schools and teachers in implementing these disciplines and offers solutions for the successful integration of programming and robotics into the educational process. prerequisites for the emergence and development of innovations in education. Attention is focused on the views of scientists on determining the chronological boundaries of the formation and development of pedagogical innovation. The analysis of innovative pedagogical ideas relevant in the current conditions of modernization of Ukrainian and foreign education is carried out. The definitions of the concepts of «innovation», «innovative technology», «innovative pedagogical activity»are considered.Conclusion.The use of programming and robotics promotes active learning. Students become active participants in the learning process by solving real-world problems and tasks through programming and interaction with robots. This allows them to develop their creativity, initiative and independence. Programming and robotics contribute to the development of critical thinking. By engaging in programming and robotics, students learn to analyze and solve complex problems, develop logical thinking and the ability to highlight the main points ininformation. They acquire the skills to critically evaluate the results of their work, identify mistakes and improve their decisions.
