METHODS OF OPTIMISING BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT IN FRANCHISE NETWORKS: AMERICAN, EUROPEAN AND UKRAINIAN EXPERIENCE

Abstract
Introduction. Franchising is an increasingly popular business model. Franchise retailers actively use various methods of business process optimisation in order to increase efficiency, reduce costs and increase profitability. The article is devoted to the analysis and comparison of business process optimisation methods in franchise retail chain companies in America, Europe and Ukraine. The study includes theoretical foundations of optimisation, practical aspects of its application and analysis of the results of implementation of various methods at enterprises of different countries. Therefore, the study of business process optimisation in franchise networks is extremely relevant. Objective. The objective of this study is to conduct a comprehensive analysis and systematisation of contemporary approaches and tools designed to enhance the efficiency of business process management in retail chains operating on a franchise model. This analysis will be conducted at both the international and national levels of Ukraine, with the aim of providing well-founded recommendations for improving the efficiency of business process management in Ukrainian enterprises of franchise retail chains. It is anticipated that these recommendations will contribute to the sustainable development and competitiveness of these enterprises. Materials and methods. The research materials are: scientific articles and publications that study the issues of business process management, franchising and conduct research on the analysis of business processes in retail trade, articles on the application of various methods of optimising business process management in various industries and reveal cases of successful application of optimisation methods in franchise networks; reports and analytics: reports of consulting companies on trends in retail trade, analytical materials on the development of franchising in different countries, research data on the retail trade market; regulatory framework: legislation regulating the activities of franchise networks in different countries, standards and recommendations for managing business processes. The following scientific methods were used in the course of the study: a systematic approach to identify the main trends, concepts and methods in the field of research; comparative analysis to identify common and distinctive features in approaches to optimising business processes in different countries; methods of data collection and analysis. Results. This study is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of business process optimisation methods used in franchise retail chains in the USA, Europe and Ukraine. On the basis of the analysis of world experience, a comparative analysis of the experience of different countries was carried out in the work, common and distinctive features were identified. General trends and features determined by the specifics of national markets and legislation are singled out. In particular, the experience of the USA, Europe and Ukraine was examined in detail, the practice of leading companies was analyzed and the most promising directions of development were identified. The traditional and modern methods of optimisation are systematised. The influence of information technologies on optimisation processes is identified and the possibilities of their application in franchise networks are analysed. The peculiarities of franchising as a form of business organisation and its impact on optimisation processes are considered. Practical recommendations for optimisation of business processes in franchise networks of Ukraine are formulated, taking into account national peculiarities and world experience.
