Abstract

Introduction. Innovative progress requires a review of the consistency of existing methodological support for modelling business processes with the needs of business entities. One of the most effective approaches to modelling and managing business processes is the reflexive approach. However, despite the proven usefulness of this approach in business, it is mostly not used properly due to the lack of a methodological framework. Existing developments describe the problem in a fragmentary way, without providing algorithms for its methodological development. Objective. To develop a method for modelling business processes based on a reflexive approach. Materials and methods. The work of scientists and practitioners on the problems of modelling business processes and management on the basis of a reflexive approach; analyses of organisations in the subject area; the results of the authors' research. General scientific research methods are used. Results. The integral indicator of efficiency of business process modelling and the mathematical apparatus for its evaluation on the basis of a reflexive approach are substantiated. The obtained values of the integral indicator based on the results of the application of the mathematical apparatus are economically interpreted. The advantages of the author's development are demonstrated, in particular: the ability to take into account not only the metrics defined by the project, but also the behavioural factors that take place in a particular business process; to use as a basis for justifying management decisions that are determined by a high level of manoeuvrability and adaptability; to make changes in the system of parameters that affect the integral indicator; to use at different levels of reflection (by stages of business processes); to use by different groups of experts, etc. Prospects. Prospects for further research include the development of methods to support management decisions based on business process modelling using a reflective approach.
