Abstract

Introduction. The article analyzes the fundamental approaches to enhancing the competitiveness of Ukraine's agricultural sector, where the impact of the circular economy is considered in conjunction with structural changes. It has been established that integrating various approaches and perspectives into a single, comprehensive, albeit complex problem accelerates the likelihood of implementing theoretical approaches aimed at shifting the vector of macroeconomic instability toward achieving competitive sectoral development. The focus is placed on key theories: sustainable development; resource efficiency; competitive advantages; economic crises and adaptability; and innovation systems. Ideas for practical implementation of mechanisms through which the circular economy can facilitate structural changes are discussed. It is concluded that adapting the concept of innovation impact on the competitiveness of the agricultural sector, based on a generalized model, affects the implementation of modern innovations. It has been proven that in the context of macroeconomic instability, it is advisable to consider theories of economic crises that emphasize the importance of flexibility and adaptability of economic entities in the agricultural sector, particularly in response to exogenous factors. Purpose. The purpose of the study is to provide a scientific and theoretical rationale for the approaches and to practically assess the impact of the circular economy on the processes of forming the competitiveness of Ukraine's agricultural sector in the context of structural changes and macroeconomic instability. Materials and methods. The materials of the study are:1) Regulatory and legal frameworks for the implementation of circular economy principles in the agricultural sector in the European Union and other global leaders; 2) The works of domestic and foreign scholars conducting their own scientific and practical research on issues related to the circular economy, competitiveness, and sustainable development, as well as literature on macroeconomic instability and structural changes in Ukraine's economy.
