Abstract
This research paper aims to identify the specificity of the Algerian novel written in French, a language that ignited the spirit of rebellion in the language itself when it used the language of the coloniser. It became a tool of rejection and rebellion, defending its identity, absorbing the worries of the Algerians and depicting their tragic daily situations, thus being a strong witness to a rebellious identity that forced the Algerian writers to write with a unique characteristic setting them apart from the rest of other novels. They inserted the orality and the colloquial Algerian dialect which reflects the language and knowledge of society, into the body of the novel in parallel with its expressive tool, to collide with the reader who is looking for a way to coexist with the translation of these texts, in which orality is as part of its expressive identity.
