Abstract
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract faced by doctors of various specialties. IBS is characterized by chronic abdominal pain, bloating, changes in the frequency of defecation and stool consistency in the absence of organic causes for these symptoms. Despite the fact that the disease does not threaten the patient's life, it significantly reduces the quality of his life.
