Abstract
The present article focused on the design of an inspection plan for “Plant 1” of a dairy products company in Santa Cruz. Industrial maintenance is crucial for efficiency and quality in this industry. To avoid costly disruptions, it is crucial to keep the equipment operational. However, a high proportion of corrective maintenance was identified, making the implementation of preventive actions challenging.The research objective was to develop an inspection plan based on the criticality matrix and failure frequency for the critical equipment of “Plant 1”. Methodologies such as RCM and Proactive Maintenance Optimization were applied to enhance maintenance management.The results included a detailed plan for the 10 most failure-prone critical equipment. Activities, equipment, personnel, and estimated times were defined. DMAIC and PDCA methodologies were used for planning and execution.The criticality matrix and frequency analysis allowed for precise identification of critical equipment, prioritizing based on operational importance. The plan's design took into account historical failure modes, ensuring effective problem detection. The plan underwent validation to ensure its feasibility and adaptation to maintenance area needs.This study provides a comprehensive and rigorous approach to developing an effective inspection plan in Plant 1 of the dairy products company in Santa Cruz, contributing to efficiency and quality in production. This project underscores the importance of proactive maintenance management in the dairy industry.
