Abstract

Comparison of expenses of energy is executed during carrying out tests of the generator under work. Tests were car-ried out at existing stations with use of load resistors and at station with possibility of return energy to the mains. Re-turn energy happened due to use of the thyristor converter working in a mode of the inverter conducted by a mains. The thyristor converter is connected to a generator exit via the three-phase bridge rectifier. In case duration of tests of the generator under loading is limited, for definition of expenses of energy it is enough to receive: station’s power con-sumption from mains; part of power in a consumption chain; part of power in a chain of return energy to the mains. A measurement of the specified powers was made by the electronic counter “Energy?9”. Errors of this electronic counter consider work in mains with sinusoidal currents. Calculation of the specified capacities is executed by processing of oscillograms of instant values of currents and voltage of the phase of the same name. Considering practical symmetry of phase voltages, it is possible to accept more reliable power calculations according to oscillograms. The advantages of expenses of energy on carrying out tests under loading showed that at station with of return energy to the mains power consumption doesn’t exceed 27 % of level of an expense at existing stations.
