Abstract
The public procurement sector is among the most vulnerable to corruption risks, especially in countries where significant portions of state budgets are allocated through tenders. Malpractices such as bid-rigging, favoritism, shell companies, and price inflation often remain undetected due to data complexity, hidden schemes, and limited investigative capacity. Against this background, artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly regarded as a promising tool for enhancing forensic work through automated data analysis, anomaly detection, and modeling of collusive behavior.
