Preparation of future teachers for the implementation of an activity approach in primary school lessons

Abstract

Reforming the education system in Ukraine leads to the search for new approaches to the organization of the educational process capable of fulfilling the requirements of today. The article states that the activity approach is the basis for the organization of educational process in primary school, and its implementation involves the existence of an appropriate level of training of teachers. That is why the problem of preparing future teachers for the implementation of an activity approach in primary school lessons is now relevant and needs considerable attention. The purpose of our article is to characterize the practically oriented aspect of the preparation of future teachers to implement an activity approach in primary school lessons. The research used the following methods: analysis and generalization of scientific literature; observation of the activities of higher education applicants; аnalysis of practical experience of implementing the activity approach in the educational process of the University. The article defends the idea that for effective preparation of future teachers for the implementation of the activity approach in primary school lessons, it is necessary to create conditions under which higher education applicants master professional competence through active activity with the use of activity practices, methods, strategies, and tools of the activity approach by teachers during educational sessions. The experience of applying activity practices in the educational process of the University during training sessions in professionally oriented disciplines is analyzed. Generalizing conclusions have been made that in the process of practically oriented activity learning is formed the readiness of future teachers to implement an activity approach in primary school lessons.
